I AM A BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR
I am a happily married 48 year old Carpenter. I have two children who I love dearly and two Grand-Babes that will forever own my heart. I have a large wonderful family scattered all over this great nation. I miss them all, always!
My husband and I live just south of Kissimmee, Florida. We hate it! We moved here only because of our jobs, but have decided it not worth living only to make money. God put us here to LIVE!
We own a little piece of property up in North Carolina, which is where my daughter lives, so North Carolina, here we come!!!
UPDATE........UPDATE.......UPDATE........UPDATE.......UPDATE
God, I haven't been back to my blog for a while so when I read the above entry, it sent a shock through me. I have to explain for those of you who do not know what has happened over the last seven months. I realize that I could just delete the entry and start all over but when I wrote it, that was my life. I miss my husband.....
About two weeks after I had my mastectomy, my husband Freddy went to the doctors with a cough. They took some x-rays and before we knew it, he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. They gave him 6 months to 5 years to live. There are no words to describe the insanity. Other then colds now and then, Freddy never got sick.
Sadly, I have to say that I now live in North Carolina without him. He passed away on December 12th 2009. I miss my husband.....

My Football Gear
If you all notice in the side view pictures, my shoulders are rounded. I keep trying to hold them back but its not working. I have to say that I feel like I'm wearing football gear. I go for another fill tomorrow with very little enthusiasiam. It's funny, I feel that I keep having to explain that my expanders are temporary. They look so big to me and out of place. I just hope my doctor knows what he's doing. I'll have about an extra 50 cc in my right side tomorrow in order to even them out. Hey, I've gone through my entire life with lopsided boobs, why not go for perfection?

Another 100 cc. and Bust ????
I hope the heck not, although it feels like it. I asked Katie, the PA to start with 50 cc. just to see how it would feel and decided to go for 100. Ouch!!! Feels the exact same way it did last Tuesday. I was just thinking that next week when I go for my next fill, I"ll read my blog so as to remind myself just how much pain I'm in right now. I have gotten about 3 hours of sleep since Tuesday morning. I can't get comfortable in any position and the pain meds are starting to take their toll. As soon as the sun comes up I'm going to take another stab at the pool. I'm not sure if its open but I'm Praying it is. You might ask, why not just go for 50 cc and take a break? Believe me, I'm asking myself that right now!!! It's hard though. I can not wait to get this over with! It's been a long hard road and three months seems like an eternity. I want to be able to go crawl into my bed, curl up with my husband and fall asleep in his arms. I really, really miss sleeping with him.
I had a chance to speak with my Plastic Surgeon during my visit as well. I really like him. He has a plaque in the treatment rooms with a little bit of his history. Says that when he first decided to become a doctor, he took a trip to Europe. He fell in love with the beauty of the human anatomy thanks to all the gifted artist in this world.
Says he discovered then, his passion in life. Beleive it or not when Dr. Pope looks at me, I swear he is trying to create a work of art. Hope he suceeds! 600 cc and counting

Just Another Day Of Waiting
Got up this morning and did some farming on Facebook waiting for the sun to come up. Forsed myself to put a bathing suit on and go for a swim. Wouldn't you know it, the pool was closed for repairs. I have been waiting for a month to go swimming thinking that the pressure from the pool would ease some of this "iron bra" feeling, Dang It!! Stomped back to the condo all bitchy like thinking that with all this energy I should at least clean something other then the kitchen. I did and now I'm sitting here with my lower back just killing me. Maybe a bath will I wait for Freddy to get home. I hate sitting here by myself all day, Blah!!! I did get one really good laugh in today though. My new FAVORITE saying. "YES THESE ARE FAKE, BUT MY REAL ONES TRIED TO KILL ME". Laugh Out Loud!!!!!

Pain Reprive For Three Days!
It's Friday morning and after two days of suffering I feel a lot better. Couldn't sleep last night but the good thing is that I don't have to be anywhere. Nap time is right around the corner. Its seems like I get a more restful sleep during the day. Not sure why. I'm thinking after a nap that I just might go for a swim. I'm having a problem with motivation. Seems like all I do is drag my feet....blah blah blah I have absolutly no desire to clean this house. My floors need scrubbing, toilets need cleaning. I can't remember the last time I dusted. It seems all I can manage is cooking and keeping the kitchen clean. Any volunteers? Just Kidding....I'm to much of a recluse to have ANYBODY come in here and help me. It's a good thing that my husband isn't a stickler for cleanliness. Oh well, what do they say about housework? IT AIN'T GOING NO WHERE!!! Where's genie when you need her!!!

Another 100 cc. Ouch!!!
Hi All,
Went to the doctors yesterday and was injected with another 100cc. As you can see by the picture, I look like hell. I feel like hell. Had to call the doc back in order to get another pain prescription. This feels like I have a couple of cinder blocks setting on my chest. I have a lot of back pain as well. Thought maybe I would find a chiropractor to make some adjustments. Right now I can't begin to imagine having another 250cc injected into my body, can you? It ill be done though.... I think next week I'll go for 50cc in hopes of less pain and give my body a little time to adjust.
Are you all thinking what I'm thinking? Just how big am I going to get? Don't panick, my plastic surgeon assures me that I will end up with a C-cup. I have to say that considering the circumstances, I'm pretty blessed. I've talked to some women who are going through so much more. There are a lot of women that have all kinds of complications. It's really heart breaking to hear their stories. I'm amazed by their determination and courage. God Bless them all.

Pictures and All.....
Hi Everybody,
Spent most of the day up-loading pictures and all. I hope that nobody is offended by this? When I first started to do some research, the pictures that I found were so small, I couldn't see a thing. I want women to be able to get up close so they can know what to expect. Understand that we are all different. Our thoughts, concerns and reactions are going to be,"exclusive". Our pain and tolerence will differ, but our determination will be the same.
God Bless All....
